In 2000, on the recommendation of one of my colleagues at U of T, I decided to have a course reader prepared by Canadian Scholars Press. Over subsequent years, several more courses were added to my Toronto teaching both at Victoria College and at St. Michael's University College. Students frequently remarked upon the value of these readers far beyond the classroom. Most remarkable for me, however, is the evident versatility built into the CSPI system. This year, on very short notice, I unexpectedly had to prepare a special course reader for a post-retirement course at UWO at Kings College, London. This new course reader was required to incorporate selected readings from several previous U of T course readers along with many new items.
